Type 2 diabetes being usually the consequence of the life style – mainly the food choices you make. Although, do not think that you are immune just because you do not life of cookies and soda.

Chinese scientists have discovered that an average pulse at 88 beats per minute (BPM) or higher, increases the chances of diabetes by more than 70%.

Luckily – You can lower your resting heart rate if you workout regularly. According to British Journal of Sports Medicine, just by doing 33 minutes long HIIT* (high intensity training) workouts 3 times a week for 2 months you can lower your resting heart rate by more than 10%. That’s worth a lot!

  • Endurance athlete – 40 BPM
  • Lowest measured – 27 BPM
